7 Venues, more than 50 First Nations cultural practitioners, over 20 researchers, 2 days and one big zoom meeting. Over May 4th & 5th the ANU Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies hosted a unique workshop supporting access and engagement with research about Indigenous cultural trade and exchange in Australia. With live venues across 4 states- in Fitzroy Crossing, Mowanjum, Broome, Balgo, Yuendumu , Adelaide and Canberra the workshop invited researchers to share their knowledge about recent and past research about Aboriginal cultural trade across the Kimberley, Central and South Australia and gave opportunities for First Nations cultural bosses and cultural practitioners to engage this knowledge, ask questions, engage with each other and talk pathways for appropriate use of research about Indigenous cultural trade and practice for future and coming generations.
